What We Do
Daddies and Daughters Co. began with an idea - children need to hear stories of loving and involved Black fathers. And that those fathers deserve some praise! Since then, it’s grown into a series involving the whole family. Because we believe that in order to change the world, we need to tell our own stories. We want you to feel comforted, engaged, and seen by our books. We take pride in the hard work that goes into publishing them, but we never lose sight of our inspiration.
Where We Do It
We are an independent publisher based just outside of Indianapolis, Indiana in the United States. Founder and Co-Author Aissatou Balde was born in Guinea and relocated to the states as a teenager. She and her husband, Hassan, are raising their two daughters together in the Midwest. Each purchase from Daddies and Daughters Co. not only supports their family but the futures of their children as well.
